Do I need to know any astrology to start?

No. Basic Astrology assumes nothing and is the prerequisite for most of the rest. If a course does need earlier study, its page says so in a box you cannot miss, and the teacher checks before admitting you to an in-person batch.

What language are classes in?

Tamil, mostly. Course titles carry the Tamil alongside the English, and teachers switch to English for technical terms where it helps. If a course is taught differently, its page says so.

Can I try a course before paying?

Yes — the first two lessons of every course are free to watch, without an account.

What happens if a batch is full?

Nothing is oversold: a full batch is genuinely full, because the seat is claimed before payment. Most batches keep a waitlist, and we run the popular courses several times a year — tell us which one and we will let you know when the next opens.

Can I switch from an online course to a batch?

On a hybrid course, yes — ask the office and we will move you if the batch has room. A purely online course has no batch to move to.

How long do I keep access to a recorded course?

Whatever the course page says, usually two years from enrolling. A few are sold with lifetime access; those show "No expiry" on your enrolment.

Is the certificate recognised?

It is a Venmar Academy certificate, issued by Ask Astro Private Limited. Astrology has no statutory regulator in India, so no certificate from anyone is a licence — what ours records is that you completed a specific syllabus to a stated level, and anyone can verify that at our verification page.

Can I get a consultation from my teacher?

Not through the academy. Several of our teachers do consult, but that goes through askastro.org.in, where their availability and rates are published. Keeping the two separate is deliberate: a teacher marking your work should not also be selling you a reading.
