Who you are contracting with

Ask Astro Private Limited, trading as Venmar Academy, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Enrolling

An enrolment is personal to you. Course materials, recordings and handouts are licensed for your own study — not for redistribution, resale, or teaching from. We take that seriously, because a small academy's syllabus is most of what it has.

Where a course states prerequisites, we may decline or refund an enrolment that does not meet them. That is a teaching judgement, not a commercial one.

Fees

Fees are as shown on the course page at the time you enrol, GST-inclusive. A price change later does not affect an enrolment already made, and a batch that overrides the course fee says so before you pay.

Access

Self-paced courses are sold with a stated access period, shown on the course page and on your enrolment. In-person courses run for the length of the batch. We may improve or re-record material during your access period; we will not remove a lesson you have already been sold without providing a replacement.

Batches

Seats are limited and claimed in order of enrolment. We may reschedule a batch, change its venue within Chennai, or substitute a teacher of equivalent standing. If a change makes the batch unworkable for you, tell us and we will move you or refund you.

Certificates

A certificate records that you completed a stated syllabus to a stated threshold. It is not a licence, a qualification recognised by any statutory body, or a warranty of your competence to practise — no astrology certificate from anyone in India is. We may withdraw a certificate obtained by misrepresentation.

Conduct

In a classroom and on a live link, treat teachers and other students with courtesy. We may remove a student for harassment or persistent disruption; where we do, unused fees are refunded.

What we are not

Venmar teaches. It does not provide consultations, remedies, poojas or predictions, and nothing taught here should be presented as advice from us. Consultation services are a separate business at askastro.org.in with their own terms.

Liability

We provide teaching with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for decisions you or anyone else makes on the basis of an astrological reading, whether yours or a teacher's. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Refunds and cancellation

Governing law

These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts at Chennai have exclusive jurisdiction.
