A complete draft, written to match what the system actually does. It is legal copy and has not been reviewed by counsel; the company details are placeholders from configuration. Have both checked before launch.

Who we are

Venmar Academy is operated by Ask Astro Private Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Questions about this policy go to courses@venmer.org.

What we collect

• Your mobile number. It is your account. We use it to sign you in — there is no password on a student account — and to send course and batch notices.
• Your name, because it is printed on any certificate you earn, and your email if you give one.
• Your birth details, but only if you enter them. They are optional, and they are there so a teacher can prepare your own chart for the practical exercises. We do not use them for anything else and never share them.
• What you study. Enrolments, lesson progress, attendance and certificates.
• Payments. Amounts, method and status. Card and UPI details never reach us — they go to the payment gateway directly.

One account across three services

Your account is shared with asknatural and askastro.org.in, both operated by the same company. That means your name, contact details and wallet balance are common to all three. What you study here is visible to our support staff, as your orders and consultations are — it is one customer record, and we say so rather than implying three walls that do not exist.

Who else sees it

• Your teachers, for the courses you are enrolled in: your name, your progress and your attendance.
• Our payment gateway, to take a payment.
• Our SMS provider, to send you a sign-in code or a batch notice.
• Anyone you give a certificate number to, who can see the name, course and issue date on our verification page. That is the point of it.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

Cookies

Four, all functional: two hold your session tokens (both httpOnly, so no script can read them), one holds your display name so the header can greet you without an API call, and one remembers your chosen language. There is no analytics or advertising cookie on this site.

How long we keep it

Your account and enrolment record for as long as the account exists — a certificate has to stay verifiable, so the enrolment behind it is kept even after a course ends. Financial records are kept for eight years, as Indian tax law requires.

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Write to courses@venmer.org. Deletion removes your profile and contact details; an issued certificate's verification record is retained, because withdrawing it silently would defeat the purpose of a public check.
